What Went Down?
Travis Scott, born Jacques Webster, was arrested early Thursday morning in Miami Beach on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing. The incident reportedly occurred during a party, and Scott later admitted to consuming alcohol, stating, “It’s Miami,” according to the arrest affidavit.
Shortly after posting bond, Scott capitalized on the situation by releasing a limited-edition T-shirt featuring an edited version of his mugshot. The design, a dark brown tee with Scott’s mugshot altered to show his signature smile and the phrase “It’s Miami” underneath, was priced at $35. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Cactus Jack Foundation.
This isn’t the first time the “Butterfly Effect” rapper has turned a legal setback into a fashion statement; he previously sold a shirt featuring his mugshot from a 2017 arrest in Arkansas for inciting a riot at a concert.
Scott has since returned home, with no reports of physical altercations during the Miami Beach incident.
